  • 7pm doors / 8pm show
  • Wildflower Pavilion @ Planet Bluegrass, Lyons, CO
  • All-Ages

A very special evening with three-time Grammy nominee William Eaton is joined by virtuoso flutist Claudia Tulip, incomparable violinist Allen Ames, and fresh new talent: singer-songwriter Ty. As a performer and recording artist, William Eaton has worked with Native American Flutist R. Carlos Nakai, percussionist Will Clipman, Tibetan flutist Nawang Khechog with the Nouveau West Chamber Orchestra, the Nebraska Chamber Orchestra, and with ensembles he has formed.

Follow these musicians through new doors, new worlds, beyond tradition.  For the past 20 years Eaton, Ames and Tulip have been on a musical journey. Their melodies can describe spaces as diverse as the campfire of an aboriginal hunting group, or the quiet study of a court musician in ancient India.  Creation myths, desert landscapes, fantastic creatures and meditative reveries can all cohabit the imagination as the notes flow by.

Playing music from their critically acclaimed William Eaton Ensemble CDs:  Where Rivers Meet, Naked in Eureka, and Sparks & Embers the group will also perform new compositions, improvisatory soundscapes, and arrangements of a few classic tunes from the pop world.  Highlighting all the music is the diverse group of instrumentation that includes Eaton’s exotic harp guitars, Tulip’s silver flute, multi-ethnic aerophones, and voice; and Allen Ame’s violin, world percussion, and his self-designed innovative 6-string violira.

Add to this mix the innocence and emotion of a young singer-songwriter guitarist whose stories are intimate revelations about relationships, love and life.  Here is the rare opportunity to see the beginning chapter of artistic passion. Ty will perform in her first summer tour, playing songs from her debut CD Standing On My Head, a poetic journal of her 16th year.Top
